Russia condemns US “military adventures” under Trump
The Russian government has expressed deep concern over the “military adventures” of US President Donald Trump, linking them to broader destabilisation in global affairs.
Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin made the remarks during the Russia-Uzbekistan conference of the International Valdai Discussion Club and the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan, according to TASS.
“Due to the actions of Western countries led by the US, international relations continue to be destabilised and chaotic. The international legal framework for security is being undermined, and in the field of development, only the appearance of cooperation exists, which in reality is a form of neocolonialism. The military adventures of Trump, which we observe today with concern, are nothing more than attempts to use the ‘law of the strong’ to maintain global dominance in the spirit of past colonial empires, to prevent the transformation of the world economic system, and to stop the shift of global economic growth and trade flows toward Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The unprovoked US and Israeli attack on Iran that we see today is another manifestation of this trend,” Galuzin said during the opening of the conference, “Russia – Uzbekistan: Strategic Partnership in the Eurasian Space.”
