Russia delivers new Su-34 fighter-bombers to Aerospace Forces
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), a subsidiary of Rostec, has delivered a new batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Russian Aerospace Forces.
Vadim Badekha, the corporation's General Director, announced the delivery, emphasising the aircraft's proven effectiveness in real combat scenarios, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
“Timely fulfilment of state defence orders is one of UAC's key priorities. Our dedicated teams honourably carry out this vital work. This is not the last batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers to be delivered this year. These aircraft form the backbone of front-line aviation’s strike capabilities and have demonstrated their efficiency in real combat conditions,” Badekha said.
Rostec confirmed that the newly delivered aircraft underwent all necessary testing and have now been dispatched to their operational bases.
To recall, Su-34 fighter-bomber is designed to engage ground, naval, and aerial targets, as well as infrastructure heavily protected by air defence systems and located at significant distances from base airfields.
The aircraft is capable of operating effectively against enemy fire and electronic countermeasures, both day and night, including in adverse weather conditions. Additionally, the Su-34 can conduct aerial reconnaissance missions.
