Russia develops fake drone "Lodyr"

The Centre for Integrated Unmanned Solutions has developed the "Lodyr" fake drone operator complex designed to divert the enemy's electronic reconnaissance (ERS) system.

The "Lodyr" will be deployed for the duration of combat use of a real FPV deployment, Dmitry Kuzyakin, Director General of the Centre, told TASS.

He specified that the complex uses the FPV drone hibernation tool developed by the centre, which allows UAVs to remain in hibernation mode for up to several weeks.

"Several of these "Lodyrs" reliably cover the work of the calculation and increase the time for safe combat use. The "Lodyrs" is autonomous and can stay in position long enough, waiting for the command to switch on," Kuzyakin noted.

According to the Centre’s head, the "Lodyr" is also cheap to produce.

"We are developing new DER tools that will allow us to mislead the enemy already at the strategic level. Of course, this is not a single product, but a whole complex of measures and technical support," Kuzyakin added.
