Russia, Egypt explore strategic partnership on grain, energy projects
Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted the possibility of establishing a grain and energy hub in Egypt as he met at the Kremlin with Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, who is visiting Russia on a working trip.
Abdelatty’s visit includes scheduled talks with other senior Russian officials, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between the two countries, TASS reports.
Representing Russia in the meeting were presidential aide Yury Ushakov and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
During the meeting, Putin highlighted potential areas for future collaboration, including the possibility of establishing a grain and energy hub in Egypt.
“We can discuss the creation of a grain and energy hub in Egypt; there are many interesting ideas,” the Russian president said, noting that Russia and Egypt already have several promising projects underway.
