Russia expands ban on Armenian mineral water sales
29 May 2026 09:55
Russia’s Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) has issued an additional directive to the operator of the state product labelling system “Chestny Znak” to suspend the sale of another 64.5 million bottles of Armenian mineral water “Jermuk”.
The restriction was imposed due to alleged violations by the producer of mandatory technical regulation requirements, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Since the beginning of 2026, sales of 38.4 million units of “Jermuk” products have already been blocked in Russian retail chains and online platforms.
