Russia expects tourism growth due to visa-free travel with Iran

Director of the Consular Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexei Klimov said that Russia expects tourism growth due to visa-free exchange with Iran.

It is noted that the parties from March 2023 agreed on a visa-free exchange of tourist groups of 5 to 50 people for trips of up to 15 days, Gazeta.ru writes.

According to Klimov, the mechanism for implementing the agreement has already been "tested" and in October the first groups of tourists from Russia headed to Iran.

"Now we can state that the agreement has worked in full. We expect that thanks to this agreement with Iranian partners mutual tourist exchanges will continue to grow steadily," the diplomat emphasized.
