Russia foils five drone attacks near Moscow - defence ministry

The Russian Defence Ministry has stated that an "attempt to carry out a terrorist attack" on facilities in the Moscow Region and New Moscow has been foiled.

On July 4 morning, four UAVs were destroyed by air defence forces on the territory of New Moscow, the ministry told Kommersant.

Another UAV was suppressed by means of electronic warfare (EWC) and went down in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow Region.

"There were no casualties or destruction as a result of the foiled terrorist attack," the defence ministry said.

This morning, it was reported that two drones were shot down in New Moscow, one in Kaluga Region and another near Kubinka, Moscow Region. Local emergency services wrote about four downed drones in New Moscow.
