Russia hopes for Lithuania's common sense
Spokesman for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov has said that Russia is working on various scenarios in response to Lithuania's ban on transit to and from the Kaliningrad region.
“We hope that Lithuania's "common sense will prevail", Russia’s Kommersant newspaper quotes Peskov as saying.
During the interview for the press, Peskov did not answer the question of whether Russia had seen the draft of response measures handed over by Governor of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov.
The spokesman noted that Russia "is waiting for the problem to be resolved".
“As we have reiterated, we hope for the best. Of course, we are considering various scenarios in case of the worst situation. We don't want to make more statements. We hope that common sense will prevail,” Peskov added.
