Russia identifies accomplice in military journalist's murder
The Russian Federal Security Service and the Investigative Committee have identified an accomplice in the murder of military journalist Vladlen Tatarsky (real name Maxim Fomin).
"It was established that the murder of M. Fomin together with D. Trepova was prepared by a member of a Ukrainian subversive and terrorist group, Ukrainian citizen Yuri Denisov, born in 1987, who, with the help of an intermediary, transferred an explosive device camouflaged as a plaster bust of a military correspondent in Moscow by express delivery service", TASS reports, citing the Centre of Public Relations (CPR) of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).
According to the FSB, "Denisov, at the request of the Ukrainian special services, arrived in February 2023 from Kyiv via Latvia to the capital's region, where he gathered information about Fomin's lifestyle and places of visit. To this end, he purchased a car and rented a flat near where he lived. After the attack on April 3, Denisov flew from Russia via Armenia to Türkiye," the FSB said.
A procedure has been initiated to declare him internationally wanted.
