Russia imposes emergency air restrictions in Samara, Saratov, Volgograd

Airports in Russia's Samara and Saratov cities have introduced temporary restrictions on arrivals and departures, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) stated in Telegram.

Similar measures, related to the risk of drone attacks, are also in effect in Tambov.

Earlier, Volgograd International Airport had also suspended flights. The restrictions lasted three and a half hours.

On the night of October 16, a “Carpet” plan was also implemented over the Penza region. Under this plan, all aircraft are required to immediately land or leave the area under the emergency regime.
