Russia issues warning to Germany over potential property seizures

Russia has cautioned Germany that should it proceed with the seizure and sale of Russian assets in Berlin to aid Ukraine, it will enact reciprocal measures.

Director of the Third European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Oleg Tyapkin stated that the ministry is closely monitoring the situation concerning Russian real estate in Berlin, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.

“We will respond immediately to any attempt to infringe upon our sovereign property,” Tyapkin said.

He added that Russia would reciprocate in kind with respect to German assets situated within its own territory.
