Russia-Japan relations almost curtailed, says Kremlin official

Russia’s Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that relations between Japan and Russia are at the "lowest possible level."

“Relations with this country are at the lowest possible level, in fact, all relations have been curtailed, we know that Japan takes a hostile position towards our country,” Peskov said during a press briefing on June 23, Kommersant informs.

Commenting on the statement of one of the Japanese MPs in support of the decision to send troops to Ukraine, Dmitry Peskov said that such words show that “in Japan, among the irrational, unconstructive, frenzied mainstream, there are also attempts to soberly assess what is happening.”
