12 November 2025 18:49

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a declaration elevating the relationship between the two nations to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.

The signing ceremony took place following bilateral talks between the two leaders, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Speaking via videoconference at the plenary session of the 21st Kazakhstan-Russia Forum on Interregional Cooperation, President Tokayev emphasized the enduring strength of the bilateral relationship.

“Our countries share a common history, common memory, and common values. The friendship of our peoples is predestined by fate itself. Thanks to constructive and trusting dialogue at all levels, Kazakh-Russian cooperation is gaining new depth,” he said.

Highlighting the symbolic significance of the countries’ shared border, Tokayev added, “Our world’s longest land border has become a vivid embodiment of the enduring friendship and unbreakable neighborliness of our peoples.”

Expressing gratitude toward Russia’s support, the Kazakh leader stated, “Taking this opportunity, I sincerely express my gratitude to the President of Russia for his unwavering attention and support for the forum’s activities, as well as for strengthening mutual cooperation across all spheres. I am confident that, through our joint efforts, we will achieve all the goals set before us.”
