Russia keeps up efforts to promote Yerevan-Baku normalisation

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova has said that Russia continues efforts to promote the normalisation of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.

"Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry for assistance in the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations Igor Khovayev is in Baku these days. In the course of these contacts the issue of the peace treaty is also discussed," Zakharova told a briefing on November 24, Report informs.

The ministry spokesperson recalled that Khovayev was in Yerevan on November 14, where he held a series of consultations with the Armenian political leadership.
