Russia patents new supersonic multifunctional aircraft

The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has patented a multifunctional two-seat low-observable tactical aircraft, TASS reported, citing the description of the invention to the patent.

The document shows that the invention is a multifunctional two-seat low-observable tactical aircraft.

It is designed to detect and engage air, ground and surface targets at supersonic and subsonic flight speeds in a wide range of altitudes. It can also act as an airborne command and control centre for network-oriented operations of mixed groups of aircraft.

The description specifies that the new invention most resembles the Su-30MK family of aircraft. It will have a number of common features and characteristics with them.
