Russia preparing list of requirements to welcome foreign firms back
Russian Ministry of Finance is preparing a list of requirements for the return of foreign companies to Russia in line with the directive from President Vladimir Putin.
The statement was voiced by the country’s Deputy Finance Minister Ivan Chebeskov while speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the Crypto Summit, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
"Obviously, we are preparing it; the directive was given, so we are working on it. But in reality, we naturally need to coordinate all these requirements not only within the government subcommittee but also with key agencies. These include the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Energy—those agencies with which we collaborate within the government subcommittee," Chebeskov said.
Additionally, the deputy minister noted that the requirements could be announced in the near future.
On March 18, President Putin, speaking at the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE), instructed the Russian government to develop a procedure for the return of businesses from Western countries to Russia with a guarantee of fair business conduct. In addition, the president instructed the government to keep a close eye on the return of Western companies that left Russia “slamming the door”.
