Russia preparing visa-free travel deals with India, Vietnam
Russia is preparing to sign agreements on group visa-free travel with India and Vietnam, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development announced on March 30, per local media.
The ministry confirmed that the necessary documents are actively being prepared. The planned visa-free regime will apply to tourist groups.
Earlier, at the end of 2025, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that Moscow and New Delhi were discussing the possibility of visa-free travel for tourists for up to 30 days. According to Russian parliamentarians, this measure could increase the flow of tourists from India by 20–30% in the first year.
The Ministry of Economic Development also reminded that Russia has already abolished the visa regime with China, Saudi Arabia, and Oman.
