Russia pundit rules out possibility of NATO arming Armenia
In an interview with Armenian media, Russian political scientist Gleb Kuznetsov excluded the possibility of NATO's arming of Armenia.
"Türkiye is a key member of NATO. It is one of the most powerful armies of NATO, and therefore NATO will simply not make any efforts to rearm Armenia, to provide them with some technological platforms and everything related to security," Kuznetsov said, Caliber.Az reports.
"Ankara is a much more important story for NATO than Yerevan, and this should also be honestly admitted. Yes, certainly the countries where there is a more or less strong Armenian lobby, and this is primarily France and the United States, can do something thanks to the efforts of Armenian lobbies. However, the centralized NATO is too connected and oriented towards Türkiye. And from this viewpoint, the hope that Armenia will use NATO military equipment, NATO military platforms and NATO security is an absolute utopia. This is possible only if Armenia replaces Türkiye in NATO, which is unreal," the political scientist said.
