Türkiye completes mass production tests of long-range SİPER air defence system VIDEO
Türkiye has successfully completed serial production acceptance tests for its domestically developed long-range air and missile defence system, SİPER Product-1, marking a key milestone in the country’s efforts to establish a fully layered national air defence network.
Developed through a collaboration between Turkish defence firms ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, and TÜBİTAK SAGE under the coordination of the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), the SİPER Product-1 system is designed for high-altitude defence with a range exceeding 100 kilometres, Caliber.Az reports via SavunmaSanayiSt.com.

With the completion of these tests, Türkiye now possesses domestically produced air defence systems covering all altitude layers—very low, low, medium, and high—effectively reinforcing what officials have described as the country’s “Steel Dome.”
SSB President Haluk Görgün said in a statement that SİPER's inclusion in the national defence inventory strengthens Türkiye's strategic capabilities and supports the goal of building an entirely domestic air defence shield.
“SİPER is becoming one of the most strategic security shields of Gök Vatan with its range, precision and effectiveness against a variety of targets,” Görgün noted.
