Russia rejects US claims of election interference, misinformation spread
Russia has rejected allegations from US intelligence agencies regarding interference in US election and the spread of misinformation.
In a statement to reporters at the 21st annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded to the claims, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
She criticized the US for its ongoing narrative about foreign meddling in its elections, calling it a "caricature."
"Right now, the world is not waiting with anticipation but is actually horrified by the electoral processes unfolding in the United States," Zakharova remarked.
"The US constantly amplifies the notion that someone is interfering in their elections, with intelligence agencies accusing Russia and other countries of spreading lies both about the election and within US society itself."
