Russia reports downing of nearly 100 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed nearly one hundred unmanned aerial vehicles overnight during what officials described as a large-scale attack by Ukrainian forces.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, a total of 98 fixed-wing UAVs were shot down between the night of April 28 and April 29.

The attacks were reported across multiple regions, including the Astrakhan Region, Volgograd Region, Rostov Region, and Saratov Region, as well as the Crimea.

The ministry stated that all intercepted aerial targets were fixed-wing drones.
