Russia’s Dagestan appeals to mining farm owners over electricity shortage

Dagenergo company, a branch of Rosseti Northern Caucasus company, has appealed to the owners of mining farms in Russia’s Dagestan.

Dagenergo requests to turn off mining farms’ equipment during cold weather, Gazeta.ru reports, citing the appeal published on Dagenergo’s Telegram.

“Dear owners of mining farms in the Republic of Dagestan! We urge you to think about people in Dagestan during the cold weather, and turn off mining farms,” the text says.

The mining farms in cold weather overload the country’s energy network and cause technological disruption.
