Russia's Domodedovo Airport halts flights amid drone threat

Temporary restrictions have been introduced at Domodedovo Airport on the arrival and departure of aircraft. Flights are being carried out only with approval from the “relevant authorities,” Russia’s aviation agency Rosaviatsiya reported.

The restrictions were imposed to ensure flight safety, the agency explained. Nine UAVs have already been shot down on the approach to Moscow.

Vnukovo Airport introduced similar restrictions about an hour earlier, while Sheremetyevo did so approximately three hours ago.
