Russia's fighter jet crashes in Crimea during training flight

A Russian Su-30 fighter jet crashed during a scheduled training flight in Crimea, the Russian Defence Ministry confirmed.

The aircraft was operating without ammunition at the time of the incident, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

“The crash occurred today around 11:00 in Crimea while performing a planned training flight. The plane was flying without ammunition. The crew ejected safely and were rescued by a ground search-and-rescue team. There is no threat to the pilots’ lives,” the ministry said in a statement.
