Russia’s FM issues diplomatic note to Moldova’s ambassador
Russia's Foreign Ministry has issued a verbal note to Moldova's diplomatic mission head, Lilian Darii, seeking clarification on why President Maia Sandu has not accepted the Russian Ambassador's credentials.
The Ministry expressed bewilderment over the fact that the President of Moldova has still not accepted the credentials of Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Ozerov, who arrived in the country in October 2024, in violation of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, Caliber.Az reports.
A copy of the Convention was also presented to the Moldovan Ambassador.
It was previously reported that Liliana Darii was summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where a protest was expressed regarding the publication by Chișinău of a confidential note from the Russian Embassy concerning gas supplies, as well as calls from one of the Moldovan political parties to expel the Russian ambassador.
