Russia's presidential rep reacts to Kazakhstan's decision on Taliban
Russian President's Special Representative for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov has said Kazakhstan has the right to exclude the Taliban from the list of banned organizations, Russia respects this.
He made the remarks in a conversation with NSN, emphasizing that the Russian Federation has no plans for changes in this direction so far, according to Gazeta.Ru.
"This is the sovereign right of Kazakhstan. We understand and respect such a decision. And we still have the Taliban movement as it was, there are no changes at the moment. On such issues are not negotiated at all," said Kabulov, emphasizing that when the Russian authorities make the appropriate decision it will be reported.
On December 29, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Aibek Smadiarov said that the country's authorities have decided to exclude the Taliban movement from the list of banned organizations in the country.
