Russia’s St. Petersburg hosts event on 31st anniversary of Khojaly genocide PHOTO
The Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with the Diaspora has said that an event dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was held in Russia’s St. Petersburg city.
The event was organised at the Palace of Culture named after the Leningrad City Council by "Azerbaijan National Cultural Autonomy of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region" city public organisation, the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora told Report.
Chairman of the city public organisation Vagif Mamishov, Consul General of Azerbaijan in St. Petersburg Sultan Gasimov and Turkish Consul General in St. Petersburg Ozgun Talu delivered speeches at the event.
Video footage prepared within the “Justice for Khojaly!” project being implemented through the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was demonstrated.
The event participants received brochures and badges prepared by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, as well as CDs with the documentary film entitled "Endless Corridor".
