Russia's Taganrog declares local state of emergency following drone attack
Authorities in Taganrog have declared a local state of emergency affecting two industrial sites, two residential buildings, and one educational institution after a drone strike.
The decision was made during an extraordinary session of the city’s emergency commission, according to Mayor Svetlana Kambulova, who said officials reviewed reports on the damage and consequences of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) incidents.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the strike was carried out by the Ukrainian military against the Atlant Aero plant.
The facility is involved in the full-cycle development, production, and testing of strike and reconnaissance drones of the “Molniya” type, as well as components for the “Orion” drones used by Russian forces.
