Russia's three ports become new points of entry for Iranian exports
Iran has expanded the geography of its own exports, including three Russian ports in the list of sales markets - Makhachkala, Olya and the VTS port in the Astrakhan region. In these areas, the authorities of the Islamic country plan to increase the volume of cargo deliveries.
The decision was made in order to speed up loading and unloading operations and increase shipping to Russian ports, the Iranian Tasnim news agency reports, citing the Organisation of the Iranian Navy.
This measure fits into the concept of the Iranian authorities to increase trade turnover with Moscow and the Caspian countries, the article says.
Currently, one of the main sales channels for Iranian products in Russia is the port of Solyanka. However, in the foreseeable future, the countries will be able to increase trade turnover with the help of new port channels that will accelerate the delivery of goods to the region.
"In order to implement the government's general policy on the development of foreign trade with Russia and other countries of the Caspian region, the number of endpoints for Iranian exports has been expanded. Currently in Russia, in addition to the port of Solyanka, three ports have been added to the list ...: the port in Makhachkala and the ports of the VTS group of companies, as well as the port of Olya in Astrakhan," the article clarifies.
