Russia–Saudi Arabia visa-free travel agreement takes effect May 11

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that the agreement between Russia and Saudi Arabia on the mutual abolition of visa requirements for citizens of both countries will take effect on May 11.

The document was originally signed in Riyadh on December 1, 2025, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Russian citizens will be able to enter and stay in Saudi Arabia without a visa for up to 90 days per calendar year, either continuously or cumulatively, under a new bilateral agreement.

The ministry clarified that under this arrangement, Russian citizens may not engage in employment, study, or reside permanently in Saudi Arabia during their stay.
