Russia says air defences shot down 176 Ukrainian drones overnight
Russian air defence forces intercepted 176 Ukrainian drones overnight, the Russian Ministry of Defence said, according to RIA Novosti.
According to the statement, 29 drones were destroyed in the Republic of Adygea and 25 in the Krasnodar Territory. Another 18 drones were shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov.
Seven drones were intercepted in the Rostov region, five in the Kursk region, and 80 over Crimea.
In addition, three drones were shot down in the Stavropol Territory. Two drones each were intercepted in the Bryansk region and over the waters of the Black Sea.
One drone each was downed in the Astrakhan, Belgorod, Volgograd, and Lipetsk regions, as well as in Tatarstan.
Separately, the governor of Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, reported a drone strike targeting the industrial zone of Nevinnomyssk. Air defence forces are actively repelling the attack, and a drone alert has been in effect in Stavropol Territory since 02:48.
“Our air defence forces are repelling an enemy drone raid targeting the Nevinnomyssk industrial zone. There have been interceptions in the city’s vicinity,” Vladimirov wrote on Telegram.
Later, Nevinnomyssk Mayor Mikhail Minenkov advised residents to stay indoors. “I ask everyone to stop moving around the city, especially in the industrial area, until further notice,” he said.
