Russia says it downed 177 Ukrainian drones in overnight barrage

Russia’s air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 177 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight, according to the country’s defence ministry.

In a statement on June 13, the ministry said the unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over several regions, including Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Volgograd, Kursk, Novgorod, Rostov, Ryazan, Smolensk and Tver, as well as the Moscow region and Krasnodar Krai.

It also reported interceptions over Crimea and the Azov and Black Sea waters.
