Russia sets up mobilisation point in Astrakhan region bordering Kazakhstan
The authorities of Russia’s Astrakhan region have said that a mobilisation point will be set up in Astrakhan region on the border with Kazakhstan.
A high alert regime has been introduced in the Krasnoyarsk region due to numerous cars at the border, Kommersant reports on September 29 referring to the Astrakhan authorities.
“The checkpoint officers are verifying the documents of those leaving with the federal register of individuals to be mobilised and do not let out citizens who meet the criteria for conscription, who are not entitled to defer from partial mobilisation or have no permission to leave from the military commissariat,” the message said.
“A temporary partial mobilisation point will be set up on the border with Kazakhstan in the coming days and conscription documents will be issued,” the message said.
