Russia, Tajikistan agree on information security
Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan Sirodjiddin Mukhriddin and Russia Sergey Lavrov signed several documents, including an intergovernmental agreement on ensuring international information security, after a bilateral meeting in Moscow.
The foreign ministers signed two intergovernmental agreements - on cooperation in international information security and in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, TASS reports, citing the foreign ministry of the republic.
Moreover, the parties signed the protocol to the intergovernmental agreement of 1999 on conditions of accommodation and service of the diplomatic missions and consulates of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation and Russian ones in Tajikistan.
"The ministers expressed satisfaction with the completion of the years-long negotiation process on the legal registration of diplomatic property of the two countries, which will help create favourable conditions for the activities of the embassies and consulates general of Tajikistan and Russia," the statement said.
The sides discussed strategic partnership and alliance relations, paying special attention to boosting trade, economic and investment cooperation as well as enhancing cooperation on migration issues.
The head of the Tajik diplomatic mission is on a working visit to Russia.
