Russia third-largest LNG supplier to Spain

Russia sharply increased the volume of supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Spain in September 2022.

In the first month of autumn, Moscow sent 5,350 GWh of LNG, or about 507.8 million cubic meters of fuel, to the kingdom, Spanish national energy company Enagas said in a monthly report.

The share of Russian LNG supplies to Spain accounted for 15.2% of the total fuel imports of the European country. The top exporter was Algeria, which accounted for 25.4% of the kingdom's total gas imports. The United States came in at number two (17.1%), the report says.
