Russia threatens to strike German factories if they supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has said German factories specializing in the production of long-range Taurus missiles will become a legitimate target for Russian troops if these projectiles are supplied to Ukraine.
He made the statement on his Telegram channel, according to Gazeta.ru.
He noted that the head of the Bundestag's defence committee, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, had recently demanded that the Kyiv authorities be immediately supplied with cruise missiles.
As the parliamentarian noted, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) need these missiles to strike Russia's territory and weaken its army.
"They say it is in accordance with international law. In that case, strikes on the German factories where these missiles are made will be fully in line with international law," Medvedev emphasized, calling Strack-Zimmermann a "fool”.
