Russia to unveil latest domestic tank at IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi PHOTO

Russia's Uralvagonzavod, part of Rostec State Corporation, is showcasing its advanced T-90MS tank at the IDEX 2025 international defence exhibition in Abu Dhabi.

The exhibition, set to run from February 17 to 21, will feature the T-90MS, renowned for its formidable protection systems and robust design, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Telegram page of the Russian aerospace and defence firm Rosoboronexport.

The T-90MS boasts multi-level defence mechanisms capable of protecting against a wide range of threats, including conventional ammunition, guided artillery shells, anti-tank guided missiles, and hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers. Weighing 48 tonnes, this modern tank is powered by a 1,130-horsepower engine, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 70 kilometres per hour on highways. The tank is crewed by three personnel and is designed to provide comprehensive battlefield protection.

In addition to the T-90MS, the exhibition will also display a compact variant of the AK-12 assault rifle, developed by Kalashnikov Concern, as well as the new Russian KUB-2-E kamikaze drone.

IDEX 2025 promises to be a key event for showcasing Russia's latest military innovations to an international audience.
