Russia warns NATO of “devastating” response to any attack

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has warned of consequences in the event of an attack by any NATO country on a Russian region, TASS reports.

“In yet another instance, I would like to emphasize that in the event of aggression by any NATO state against any Russian region, there should be no doubt that our response to the initiators of such a reckless adventure will be decisive and devastating for them,” the diplomat told a briefing.

She added that no Western military capabilities or defensive systems would be able to prevent such a response.

“And no so-called Western brigade commanders, capabilities, assets, or other lines of defence will help them. They must understand what they are pushing Europe toward with such statements and actions,” Zakharova emphasized.
