Russian air defence downs three Ukrainian drones over Belgorod
The Russian Defence Ministry has announced that Russian air defence forces shot down three Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod Region.
The incident occurred on the night of March 5, with air defence systems successfully intercepting the drones, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Russian news service RBC.
The ministry did not provide specific details regarding the operation.
Russian regions, including Belgorod Region, have experienced regular drone attacks and gunfire since the initiation of the military operation in Ukraine.
On March 4, Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported an attack on the outskirts of Shebekino village, where a kamikaze drone launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine damaged a passenger car without causing casualties.
Simultaneously, the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in Shebekino district came under fire on the same day. The incident resulted in damage to a private house's roof, facade, fence, outbuildings, and a car. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the local residents.
