Russian Air Defence Forces down 15 Ukrainian drones overnight
Russian air defence forces destroyed 15 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight, the Ministry of Defence reported.
Seven drones were intercepted over the Krasnodar Krai, three over the Bryansk region, two over the Rostov region, and one each over Crimea, as well as the Belgorod and Kursk regions, Caliber.Az reports via the Russian Defence Ministry.
In Krasnodar, air defence systems were activated during the night, and debris from a downed drone fell onto a residential building near the Sennoy market. Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeny Naumov stated that the wreckage landed on technical facilities on the building’s roof. No casualties were reported.
The latest attack follows a larger wave of drone activity the night before when Russian air defences intercepted 35 Ukrainian UAVs. On 9 February, 18 drones were shot down over the Kursk region, while four were intercepted over the Oryol region and Krasnodar Krai. Three were downed over the Voronezh and Rostov regions, while single UAVs were destroyed over the Bryansk and Tula regions, as well as Crimea.
