Russian air defences repel overnight drone attack in Voronezh Region

Air defence systems in Russia’s Voronezh Region intercepted and neutralised several unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight, regional authorities reported, attributing the attack to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Alexander Gusev, the governor of the region, four UAVs were detected and suppressed by on-duty air defence units and electronic warfare systems over one of the districts.

“Last night, on-duty air defence forces and electronic warfare systems detected and neutralised four unmanned aerial vehicles over one of the districts of the Voronezh Region,” the official wrote.

He emphasised that, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties as a result of the attack. No damage has been reported either.
