Russian airports in Samara, Penza suspend operations for safety reasons

As many as two airports in Russia, located in Samara and Penza, have suspended operations for the reception and departure of aircraft, as announced by a representative of Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya).

The press secretary of Rosaviatsiya, Artem Korenyako, confirmed the disruptions via his Telegram channel.

The suspension of operations at Samara’s airport was reported at 18:18, followed by the imposition of restrictions at Penza’s airport at 18:26.

Korenyako stated that the measures were introduced to ensure flight safety.
