Russian army "most combat-ready," says defence minister

Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov has asserted that the Russian military can now be regarded as the most combat-ready in the world.

Belousov made the remarks in a New Year’s greeting, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

“Today, it can be stated with confidence that the Russian army is the most combat-ready in the world,” he said.

Belousov added that the Russian military has consistently demonstrated its capacity to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and defend its national interests. He highlighted that, during the ongoing special military operation, Russian soldiers and officers have exhibited “true professionalism.”
