Russian army repels nighttime drone attacks over Rostov, governor says
On the night of September 30 to October 1, Russian air defence forces repelled a drone attack targeting the northern part of Russia’s Rostov region, Governor Yury Slyusar said.
According to the governor, drones were destroyed or intercepted over the Verkhnyedonsky, Millerovsky, and Sholokhovsky districts, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
One of the drones fell onto an industrial site in Verkhnyedonsky District, igniting the roof of a building and dry grass in a nearby field. Firefighting teams quickly extinguished the blaze, and no casualties were reported.
Additionally, several settlements in Verkhnyedonsky and Sholokhovsky districts experienced temporary power outages overnight. Power has since been restored via backup lines.
