Russian army takes control of Ukraine's Hrodivka
Russian Armed Forces take control over the settlement of Hrodivka in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine.
The rural settlement was captured by army units called “Center”, Caliber.Az reports, referring to the Russian Defence Ministry.
According to the ministry, "As a result of decisive actions by units of the "Center" military grouping, the settlement of Hrodivka in the Donetsk People's Republic has been liberated."
This development is part of ongoing military operations in the region.
Hrodivka is located on the Pokrovsk front, 18 kilometers from Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) region. At the beginning of October, the village of Krutoy Yar were also captured in this area.
In recall, last week Russian forces took control also over Vuhledar in Donetsk oblast. Vuhledar is situated 60 kilometres southwest of Donetsk, on a strategic elevation near the Kashlagach River.
