Russian authorities destroy drone approaching Moscow, limit airport traffic

The Air Defence Forces of the Russian Defence Ministry have shot down a drone approaching Moscow, the city’s mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced on his Telegram channel, as reported by Caliber.Az.

“The Defence Ministry's air defence forces destroyed one drone flying towards Moscow. Emergency services specialists are working at the site of the falling debris,” Sobyanin wrote.

Following the incident, TASS reported that temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft have been imposed at Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports. Rosaviatsia stated that the measures were implemented “to ensure the safety of flights.”
