Russian billionaire divorces after 30 years of marriage

President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner-Usmanova and businessman Alisher Usmanov have decided to divorce after 30 years of marriage.

This follows from the court case posted on the portal of the unified information space of justices of the peace in Moscow, RBC reports.

The application for divorce was filed by Usmanov on May 4. On May 19, representatives of both sides had a conversation, after which the spouses will have to make a final decision. The final meeting will take place on June 7.

Viner-Usmanova has been the President of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation since 2008. Prior to that, she was Vice President of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Technical Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).

Usmanov is the founder and main shareholder of the USM group, whose assets include Metalloinvest, Udokan Copper, Megafon, a joint venture with the Chinese Alibaba Group Aliexpress Russia and Ackermann Cement. Forbes estimates his fortune at $15.7 billion. According to the results of 2021, Usmanov ranked seventh in the ranking of the richest Russians according to the publication.
