Russian citizen among rioters detained in Tbilisi, says Georgian Parliament Speaker
A Russian citizen is among the six protesters detained in Tbilisi for participating in riots outside the Georgian parliament.
Caliber.Az report says, citing Georgian media that Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said it.
"As for the six detained individuals, we have reviewed the footage. These are individuals who directly engaged in violence against police officers or vandalized property. It was not just property damage; we observed vandalism of surveillance cameras, presumably to conceal their actions further. Among these six individuals, we identified a Russian citizen. So, congratulations to the protesters, a Russian citizen was involved in the violence alongside them. This is a separate issue that we should address; we need to determine who this person is, someone who not only participated in the demonstrations but also resorted to violence."
