Russian citizen robbed by teenagers in central Yerevan, Armenia
A Russian citizen was assaulted and robbed by a group of teenagers in central Yerevan, Armenia, at around 3:30 a.m. near the Parma supermarket on Northern Avenue.
The victim, identified as 39-year-old Mark Slavich, told police that three teenagers attacked him near Swan Lake, beat him, knocked him to the ground and stole 63,000 drams (about $171) from his pocket before fleeing the scene, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Police later detained two 16-year-old suspects—a resident of Yerevan identified as M.M. and a resident of Armenia's Armavir Province identified as N.S.
Law enforcement authorities are continuing the search for the third suspect and the stolen money.
A criminal investigation has been launched into the incident.
