Russian deputy detained over alleged multimillion-ruble bribery

A deputy of the Sverdlovsk municipal settlement has been detained by Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) while allegedly receiving a large sum of money, according to the news portal 47news.
The individual, identified as Dmitry Boychenko, was reportedly caught “in the act” while accepting 50 million rubles, journalists said.
Following the incident, the Investigative Committee in St. Petersburg has opened a criminal case on charges of mediation in bribery.
